The Police Department of the Ferris Independent School District exists to provide a full array of police services to our school community. Policing in an educational environment is a unique experience in that we join as partners with educators to ensure an environment that is conducive to the learning process.
Our Mission
The Mission of the Ferris Independent School District Police is to insure a positive learning environment which is free of crime, violence, or the threat of violence, and to uphold and enforce all applicable laws and regulations.
Safety Information Identification Badges
Employees, secondary students, and visitors are required to wear identification badges while on district property; Student badges have district logo, campus name and students name.

Are Ferris ISD police officers real police officers?
Yes, Ferris ISD police officers are real police officers. They have attended training just like any law enforcement officer and are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education.
Can Ferris ISD police officers make arrests and write tickets?
Ferris ISD police officers may arrest offenders of the law and issue citations on and off campus within their jurisdiction and scope of authority.
What happens if I don't pay my ticket?
If you do not appear in court to pay your fines, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest. Any police officer may arrest you once the warrant is issued.
