As a school district, Ferris Independent School District looks forward to welcoming students back to school on August 12, 2020. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, our district will continue to provide excellent education to our students, which will include both in-person and digital/online/remote learning environments. As the public health crisis continues, we have been planning for the opening of the 2020-2021 school year with a focus on the health, safety, and well-being of our students, staff, visitors, and community.

Ferris ISD's Response to Coronavirus
Last night the Board of Trustees received updated return to school recommendations necessitated by current public health guidance from state, regional, and county officials. These recommendations are based on the current infection rates and community spread of COVID-19 in our community, Ellis County and the greater DFW area.

Thank you for being a part of our school district. We look forward to another great year and hope nothing but the best for you and your family during this school year. Please help us, as a community, to strive to be the best in all we do. Parents and students must be active members of a school district to make it a success. We want to be the best and we want you to help us be the best. Through our combined efforts we will help ensure that your child is ready for college and the work force.

Partnerships help bring about change and progress. We hope that you, your teacher, your school, and our entire school district can work together to make our students well-rounded, productive citizens. Our staff looks forward to a great year working with you for your child's success!

The Ferris ISD Leadership Team

Administration Picture

We are committed to providing a stimulating learning environment. Students in Ferris ISD need to know that they are loved, valued, and appreciated by district leadership and our support team. Being able to talk directly with the students and hear their first-hand perspective is one of the very best parts of my job.
