Assistant Superintendent

Dr. De'Andre Carter joined Ferris ISD in 2025 where he served as principal of Ferris High School. Prior to joining Ferris ISD, Dr. Carter served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles with Greenville ISD, A.W. Brown Leadership Academy, and Dallas ISD, including Principal, Dean of Students, and Teacher/Coach.

Dr. Carter currently holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, a Master's degree from Concordian University Texas, and a Doctorate from Dallas Baptist University. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Carter is a devoted husband to Ashley Carter and a proud father to their three daughters: Reign, London, and Simone.
