Assistant Superintendent of HR & Operations

Dr. Kevin N. Dixon brings over three decades of dedicated service in education to the role of Assistant Superintendent of HR & Operations backed by a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. With 31 years in public education, Dr. Dixon is beginning his 14th year in Ferris ISD, where he has held several leadership positions since joining the district in
2012 as Principal of Ferris High School. In 2019, he transitioned to district
administration as Director of Special Populations and, for the past three years, has successfully led as the Director of State & Federal Programs.

Prior to his time in Ferris, Dr. Dixon spent 12 years in DeSoto ISD, serving as both assistant principal and principal. He and his wife, Melanie, have been married for 29½ years and are proud parents to their son, Graham, who will be a senior at Ferris High School this fall.
