James Hartman


James Hartman has served as the Ferris ISD chief executive officer since 2015 and possesses more than two decades of experience as a Texas school superintendent. In addition to the extensive superintendent tenure, Mr. Hartman has also been a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Hartman's passion is community involvement and providing unparalleled opportunities for students to be actively engaged.

James and his wife Tanya, an educational diagnostician, are the proud parents of three children (all graduates of Texas public schools) and four grandchildren (two of which are school-aged and enrolled in public systems.)
